DeckCadet Posted August 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2004 I'm not sure what you're talking about but if I think about it, if it has to do with your booking it might be---now this is pure guesswork... if you're traveling alone in a cabin you'll have to pay for the second berth anyways. CruiseCATnMACK Posted August 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2004 Last I saw was 150%.
Snowball Posted August 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2004 I think it is normally 150% for a 1A, and 200% for any other category, but I have never booked a single so I'm not positive. I've heard that sometimes the single supplement is even lower on certain ships and sailings. Cotton - this thread desperately needs your expert advice. :)
Cotton Posted August 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2004 Deck Cadet...wrong. I'm a solo cruiser, as Snowball knows.:D The 1A category is 150%, which I understand, but don't like. However, I've been fortunate to have gotten porthole 1A categories a couple of times, and that's been nice. I also managed to get a 5A for 150% supplement rate on one cruise. Those are few and far between, because usually anything above 1A is 200%.
crzndeb Posted August 5, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2004 And also, you only pay 150% on the base rate. You only pay one tax, not two. Just an FYI....
