For me this is easy... Honoman (Hon) on the Sensation. We went to the lido directly upon boarding, and there he was... we got our first drink and tipped him well... he never left our side :D Even gave us a round of freebies for giving me wrong directions to the bathroom (LOL, asked him where it was and he sent me a mile away, got back and 10 feet from our chairs was a bathroom, LOL... it was rather humorous), he told us to find him at the Captains Party, which we did... he brought over 2 trays of drinks and told us to enjoy... it was nice to have so many drinks to choose from all for us :D He made our trip very special and always had a kind word and a smile... Our cabin steward came in second... Timpakorn (korn), we also gave him a tip upfront and a little gift... he took very good care of us... when BF had food poisoning, he was incredible, generous, and went out of his way to help him... Service makes a big impact on your stay... we found that showing our appreciation upfront made our trip much more pleasurable.

The names escape me now, but on the Legend our steward and waitstaff were so pleasant and eager to please, you just had to love them. They were above competent (rewarded with extra tips), funny and the assistant waiter was really a little cutie. :)

Our waiter on our recent Jubilee cruise, JT from the Phillipines was the best waiter I've ever had on any cruise on any cruiseline! He was wonderful, food always came quickly, nothing we asked for was ever a problem. He joked around with us a lot. He was just the best! I can't say enough good about him. He told us he would be going to the Pride when the Jubilee is moved to P & O. Anyone sailing on that ship would be lucky to have him!

I am in total agreement! I think Carnival's staff and crew in general are excellent.

One that comes to mind is on the Holiday in 2002, my waiter was (can't forget this name!) ... Julius Caesar. He was funny, charming, very polished and obvioulsy experienced, and couldn't do enough. The assistant water was Made', and although he didn't say much, he was always smiling and very eager to please, so it was a great team!

We have had quite a few outstanding crew members from cabin stewards to bar servers. I always put their names on the comment cards at the end of the cruise.

I have also written B Dickinson's office about their superior service. I got an email from one saying "thank you for your nice letter you wrote about me"

Carnival promotes from within, so if you feel one person was really special, please write to Carnival when you return! The staff really does appreciate it....

OLEY AND MICHALA in the dining room on the Miracle!!

And the guy in the Lido doing the omelets every morning. I forget his name (it was way too difficult to pronounce let alone remember) but he was a smiling fool! He was pleasant every day...obviously a 'morning' person! :D

They were my favorite...but everyone on that ship treated us like royalty.

Cabin Steward - Michael Fernandez - Carnival Spirit (5/03)

Cook - Mohammad - Carnival Spirit - Deli / Lido Breakfast (best omlets ever)

Waiter - Emmanualle - Carnival Glory (12/03)

Waiter Assistant - Rashna - Carnival Glory (12/03) (Mom loved being called Momma by her!).

They were the best enough to remember their names.

On the Legend we had Earl and Shawn as our waiters. They were the best. We tipped them extra and wrote comments on the cards they put on your table as well as the comment card at the end. I got a letter from Carnival in my cabin thanking me for the effort. I am sorry to say though that there were quite a few employees that never smiled or were friendly at all. This was mentioned by a few other people that I spoke to. My last cruise was on Celebrity and I have to say that the crew there were much friendlier and willing to go out of their way. Maybe it was just the cruise I was on but I did not get a good feeling from anyone except for Earl and Shawn.

Does anyone know of an email, besides the general one on Carnivals web site that I can use to compliment the service we received? I'm sure they always hear about the bad stuff and just wanted to send some good words for a change.

Thanks, Annette

We have always been very impressed with the Carnival staff; two individuals that stand out are Cristina from Croatia, bar tender on the Fascination during our millennium cruise and our waiter on our first Destiny cruise; I don’t remember his name but he looked just like Leonardo DeCaprio.

Veronica, who was the casino host on the Legend last year and is now the host on the Inspiration gets my vote. I also wrote about her on my comment card and we still email each other to this date. She was so personable. Since my DH and I frequented the casino often, Veronica knew our names after the first day. We hope to sail with her again someday.

We also have had wonderful service from the Carnival staff. I always fall in love with my cabin steward!!

The standout employee that I will never forget was our waiter on the Victory, Raghu from India. He was first class all the way! We saw him last year on the Pride, but were not lucky enough to have him as our server.

A friend traveling with us has Lou Gerhig's disease and Raghu went out of his way to help her when he saw her in the Lido dining area. Her husband tried to tip him and he wouldn't take the money, so they wrote a poem for him and he seemed very touched by that. Great guy!!
