icecreammama Posted April 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2007 Does anyone have pictures of the Grand Suite on Carribean Princess. I put a deposit on it for May 2008. It seems beautiful. I just want to see some pics of it before making final decision to take it. Also, if anyone has stayed in this room, please tell me about the room and perks you get thanks

icecreammama Posted April 11, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted April 11, 2007 thanks for the pictures, Bill. Did you enjoy the cabin? Did you think it was money well spent? I put a deposit on the room yesterday and after looking at the pictures, I'm pretty sure we will be taking it. It looks great!!! We are going on Celebrity Journey's maiden voyage and we booked a Royal Suite but I must say the Grand Suite looks much nicer. My husband thinks I'm getting carried away with the whole "suite" thing but since we both work so hard, I feel it's justified to get away in total pampering and luxury. Again thanks. Any other info you would like to share about the room, food and ship itself will be much appreciated

Another poster from CC (Idssms) sent me the pictures to post. Here is a link to other pictures from the Grand Suite he took. http://travel.webshots.com/album/554521561ZNCAfi Bill
chapultepec Posted April 11, 2007 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2007 ICECREAMMAMA . . . We stayed in the Grand Suite ( A750 ) last October and I can tell you, the pictures do not do it justice . . it is an amazing cabin . . almost bigger than my house!! The perks are the same as for any of the other full blown suites except that, you can usually set your own times for dining as the Maitre' D will generally do his best to accomomdate your wishes. One perk I had seen discussed previously that we never received was any kind of priority boarding. According to one post I read, the passengers were met at the terminal by the Captain and escorted on board before anyone else and taken directly to the Suite . . never happened with us. Perhaps it depends on the Captain's schedule, however most of the Senior officers did drop by the first day to introduce themselves and offer whatever assistance was needed. Also, it was great having our own PC with unlimited use although I hear that has gone by the boards now. Whatever your reason for choosing the Grand Suite, you will not be disappointed . . it is very popular . . and because there is only one on that ship, it is also very busy. We had to book 18 months in advance to get the dates we wanted. Enjoy!!
