Leslie311 Posted April 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2007 If we pre check-in our luggage on the ship when we return to disembark in San Juan at the end of our cruise, we won't have access to it, correct? I was just wondering because I need to know what to do with all of our toiletries for the final morning. Thanks for your help!
Marinewife05 Posted April 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Yes, that's true. You leave your bags out the night before you get back into port. Take a large tote bag to carry all of your necessary last minute items. Happy crusing!!!
celbercrz333 Posted April 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Make sure that what stays with you the night before is your prescriptions, a change of clothes and any toiletries you need for the morning, such as toothpaste and toothbrush. I've read horror stories on these boards about people who have to leave in their pjs because they didn't have an extra set of clothes to change into in their cabin on the day they leave. pms4104 Posted April 10, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2007 And ... if you're flying home, be sure that all the toiletries you plan to put in your carry-on for the flight are in containers each under 3 oz., all must fit in one qt-sized ziptop bag, only one bag per air passenger. Don't leave home without at least one empty qt-size ziptop.
barbarah33 Posted April 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2007 As long as you get your necessities off the ship with you, you can put them in your bags when you claim your luggage in the terminal before heading to the airport so it’s not like you have to lug them around all day long. I always make sure they all fit in one Ziploc type bag and, to make sure I have plenty of room in my suitcase without having to totally unpack and repack, I put an empty bag of the same size just filled with air in the suitcase to ‘take up’ the right amount of space. (It’s easy enough to do – just seal the bag around a straw, blow into the straw until it’s the size you need it to be, remove the straw and finish zipping.) I’m sure other people have other ways to do it but that works well for me and is no hassle at all.
