Vancouver Help!

Hello all,

 

My DH, 2 DS and I will be doing the NB on CO on June 18. Taking our TA's advise one step further, we are flying into Vancouver 2 days prior to embarkment (June 16) so that we can spend time in Vancouver--which my in-laws really loved. Anyway, my younger DS's 8th birthday is June 16 and we want to find something to do with him on his birthday there. Maybe a fun place for dinner or something. We arrive in Vancouver about 2:30pm, so there is definitely time to do things that day.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A horse-drawn carriage ride through Stanley Park followed by dinner somewhere fun (weather permitting, of course).

Last fall we took the Whistler Mountaineer train which is round trip to Whistler from Vancouver for a full day excursion..it was fantastic! Fairly pricey if you opt for the dome car, but well worth it for a special occasion. They serve the best scones on that dome car! There's tons of great restaurants in Vancouver. Go to the offical Vancouver website to find lots of great things to do and see.

Have you thought about checking out the Vancouver Zoo. They have a Lion/Tiger feeding at 1:00 or you could consider the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Palk. Both great options.

The Vancouver Zoo is about an hour from Vancouver out towards Abbotsford. The Aquarium, though, is in Stanley Park.

 

The Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain are always good bets, too.:)
