Food allergy

Does anyone have a LACTOSE INTOLERANCE issue that can help us out?

 

This is a recent development for my husband, and although he is medicated for it, he's still pretty sensitive to a lot of foods.

Will the kitchen prepare food without butter and cream??

Should I let NCL know ahead of time?

I haven't cruised NCL but Carnival, Princess, RCCL all have sections on the cruise personalizer section where you can mark down food issues. I think you'll still have to be diligent about telling the waiter each time you order - but you should be okay.

I would let them know ahead of time and also when you are onboard talk to the restaurant manager.

On a recent cruise (not NCL) our friend has a nut allergy, the restaurant sent menus of the next days meals to his cabin...he chose what he wanted for his meals and turned the menus back in to the maitre D in the morning.

when he arrived for lunch/dinner he just gave the waiter his cabin number for special meal and it arrived.

NCL is very good about doing their best to accommodate people with all alergies. Of course no ship can guarantee there will never be a problem but I think all ships do their best. NMNita
