Cruise Documents and Luggage Tags

Can anyone tell me when I should receive my travel documents and luggage tags. I will be sailing on the Conquest in about 3 weeks. Some friends I will be traveling with have already received theirs.:confused:

Usually not later than two weeks before you sail, sometimes two months before. No set dates.

I have received my docs as close as a week prior to the cruise up to two months before the cruise. I have no idea what determines WHEN you receive them.:confused:

You can give whoever you booked with a call and find out when they plan to mail them out. Since I book with Carnival directly, I always just ask for my docs to be sent when I make final payment.

 

Even if they dont arrive, you can still board without them. The porters will have luggage tags and as long as you Funpass is complete you are good to go.

We have sailed many times with Carnival (we always book DIRECT).

 

Typically (90% of the time) we receive our DOCS within a "week or so" of the SIX WEEK (pre-cruise) mark.

 

They have never arrived closer than 30 days prior.

 

If you booked through a travel agency, then the arrival time of your docs is totally dependent upon the agency. (It's nice to take the middle-man out of the picture whenever possible !)

I just recieved my doc's Wed or Thur's of last week and I'm sailing on Destiny in 3 weeks. I booked with a travel agent not from Carnival, so Carnival sends the docs to her and she then UPs them to me.:D
