I've not been on the QE2, so I can't relate to what people have been saying about the QE2 vs QM2 issue. But! the QM2 is an amazing ship. She is the most beautiful ship I've been on, this has been my 15th cruise(oops, I said cruise), ok 14th cruise and my 1st transatlantic crossing, how's that? I think alot of the animosity over the QM2 is the fact that a new Queen is on the Atlantic. And nothing will take the place of the QE2, especially a grand ship like the QM2. A guy at my table complained about the service in the Britannia, but I thought the service was just right, didn't take too long, but didn't feel rushed. Be he said it wasn't up to QE2 standards. Then I talked with a couple who said the service on the QE2 was not as good as the service on the QM2. I'm not sure who to believe? I did feel like I was on a real ocean liner, perhaps the Normandie? It didn't feel like I was on a Carnival cruise(not that theirs anything wrong with that). All in all, I'm happy I waited 2 years to take this crossing. Too bad I couldn't of taken Cunards offer to sail back for $899, I had made plans with my sister to go to Paris, oh well maybe next time. Which is going to be the QM2 on March 9th 8 day Caribbean cruise out of NY, I can't wait [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img]
