Canadian Cruiser51 Posted April 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2007 I assume (and you know what happens when you ass u me something) the bridge cam should be pointing forward to the prow of the ship, hence the center mast in the pics but in some, the mast is not visible(excluding the night cams)http://www.princessshutter.com/princesscam.htm the CB is showing a bridge, does this mean the cam is facing the stern, or just off center. I warned you of a stupid question Fred
chrysalis Posted April 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2007 they are able to rotate the cam to shore something interesting...in this case, the 17th street bridge.....when underway during the day, the cams are usually pointed straight ahead...at night, they sometime rotate them backwards to show the ship.... DanJ Posted April 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2007 They sometimes point them back at the ship in daytime too. And sometimes in port they point it away from another ship if one is docked in front of them, although I have seen RCI and HAL ships on the Princess cam. Cruisin' Chick Posted April 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2007 If you go to princess.com and check out the bridge cams for the ships, you'll see them pointing in all sorts of directions. One today seemed to be pointing straight up.
TropicalSnowflake Posted April 16, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2007 One today seemed to be pointing straight up. Maybe it was excited to be in port.

Agree.....Makes a more interesting shot a night looking at a lighted ship than a dark ocean....:D ;)
