bdmagee Posted April 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I am departing for my first Oceania cruise tomorrow, and could not be more excited. Weather permitting, I will be in Barcelona early in the morning ( on the 17th), and would like to see some of the city highlights before my cruise departs. Any recommendations of "Can't Miss" attractions? On my short list now is La Sagrada Familia, The Catherdal ( Barri Gotic), Casa Mila, and Las Ramblas. Any particular order I should see them? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.
Andee Posted April 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I'd start with Casa Mila because of how much you'll learn about Gaudi--then see Casa Battlo, La Sagrada Familia, and Parc Guell. Although we went to the Cathedral, I wouldn't put it on my must see list.
JimandStan Posted April 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I'd also like to put in a word for the hop on hop off double decker sightseeing busses. The weather in Barcelona is beautifully springlike, this time of year, and, if you take the bus that passes the Olympic Stadium, you'll also pass right in front of the passenger cruise terminals (we got our first glimpse of Regatta that way ;) ) Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, enjoy every minute whatever you do!
