giraffez Posted April 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2007 Hi all, Does anyone remember whether the electrical sockets on HAL are 2 (unearthed) or 3 (earthed) prongs for Alaska? I'm trying to get a Australia to USA/Canada adapter but it comes in two forms (ie. one earthed and one unearthed) ... not sure which to get. Oh .... and the cruise ship is Zuiderdam Thanks
SabreSailor Posted April 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2007 On the Noordam (Zuiderdam sister ship), they are three-pronged. As I recall, earthed means "grounded" in US terminology - holdover from my old Austin Healey Sprite manual!
dakrewser Posted April 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2007 There will also be one 220v European (i.e., UK) style plug - two round holes - located under the desktop (used for the steward's vacuum cleaner, but available for anyone at other times). We always carry both a US power strip and an EU extension cord...
