Silly Question?

You may find this a silly question……………

We depart from Southampton on the 19th of may. Our 1st Port of call is Gibraltar on the 22nd of May. When does the time difference change? Is it at sea? Do the Staff on Board tell you, or are you just supposed to know? We are 1st time cruiser’s… its all new to us.

Hi there....normally the Captain announces the time change the night before...at least that's what we have experienced. He will tell you the ship's time as well.

We sail the week before you! Have a great cruise....:D

There will be clocks all over the ship--they will all be set to whatever time the ship goes by. Make sure your watch is set to the same time when going ashore. Even if local time is different, YOU need to go by "ships time!"

Your cruise compass SHOULD have notification in the compass the night you should change your clocks.........however........I have been on RC ships that changed them at 12 noon when a change was in order.
