Captains dinner/formal night, what's the diff.

Is the Captain's dinner and the formal night the same thing? How different is it than a regular night's dinner other than dressing up? fancier menu? free champagne? Disco ball?

The Captain's Gala evening begins w/the cocktail party, then goes into dinner, and then the big production show after dinner. It's a fun, formal evening.

You can order... but it could be a while before they return back... if ever.

 

 

They have a large variety of cocktails they serve. You would have to be picky to not find one you like. They serve wine too.

Most don't have a bar in the lounge. So, like the poster said you can ask but, it will be a while. They hand out what they have on the tray first.

The captain's dinner is on a formal night, so they are one and the same.

 

They do have the best fare of the cruise on the formal nights so that is not a great time to do the supper club. I recommend the lobster... the beef can be good but there are times when it is just so-so. It's hit or miss.
