cruiserw/kids Posted August 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2004 We cruised with Princess recently and really enjoyed the fresh water pools. We are considering cruising on the Millennium and are trying to find out if the pools on-board are fresh water or salt water. Can anyone answer? Thanks in advance for your assistance. wv4891 Posted August 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2004 They are "treated" salt water pools. If you use the "T" pool in the spa area bring an old suit as it will fade your suit. I have never used the main pool so I am not sure if it will fade your suit or not. We cruised with Princess recently and really enjoyed the fresh water pools. Nitemare Posted August 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2004 T pool on Constellation definitely salty and chloriny, and definitely will fade your suit. Might also give you a nice rash, as my wife and I and friends found out.

theawesome1 Posted August 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2004 Oh gosh Nightmare. I will say you must have very sensitive skin, but I just dipped to cool, showered & went back to my sunbed doing the other side. Salt water is not the troubles but the bleach, as I call it to disinfect the water. Maybe a bit too much when you were in it. Will report when we return...... Nitemare Posted August 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2004 Ahhh, we don't dip to cool, we go into the T pool or hottub and just stay there for an hour or two, whenever possible. Perhaps it's the lengthy stay that caused the problem!
les888lie Posted October 25, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 25, 2004 It is definitely the amount of time that you were in the pool. That has happened to me before as well. If you limit you time in the pool to 10 or 15 minutes at a time, you probably won't have that same problem.
