Set Sail pass online check in question

Just a quick question. BF and I are sailing on the Sovereign next Monday (YIPPEE!) and I did our online check-in about a week ago. I did the check-in for both of us and everything is being charged to my credit card.

 

When I was finished I was able to print out one Set Sail pass and it has both of our names on it, but only has my name listed to sign (I hope this makes sense). I know that obviously only I need to sign for the credit card charges, but should he be signing something as well? Is this normal that there is only a place for me to sign because I checked in for both of us?

That's the way it's done. It's your card and your bill and BF gets to charge on it unless you make separate arrangements either before you board or at Guest Relations after you board. BF will need a credit card or go on a cash basis. Debit cards are also usuable. Congrats and YIPPEE for you two! :) Enjoy.

That is normal..........just the cardholder has to sign.........

If Im not wrong, there is a page where both of you sign. I think it is the cruise agreement. Search through all of the pages, you will find it. Have a great cruise

I'm glad you asked this - I was wondering the same thing when I printed my Set Sail pass. It says "you will need to sign this form acknowledging use of the credit card as payment for the guests listed below", but I'm the only one listed below that. Though both our names appear right above it.

Just the person whose name is on the card has to sign. It authorizes you and any other persons listed to use your card.

Thanks so much everyone for your replies. I just wanted to make sure we weren't going to encounter any problems at the pier, but it sounds like this is normal and the signature is more for the credit card than anything else.
