Med. cruisers - what about baseball caps?

DH is a dedicated baseball cap wearer. He's concerned about being too touristy in a baseball cap and was wondering what kind of hat he could wear for our upcoming Medit. cruise. (He really does need a hat to protect his head from the sun.)

 

Can anybody tell us what you saw on men's heads in France (Paris, Cannes), Spain (Vigo, Barcelona), Italy (Rome, Florence), or Monaco?

Lots of baseball caps! I'd say it's the most popular choice for men, including DH

To be honest, the Med is FULL of toutists and I was never able to spot an American until I heard the accent (and at the risk of upsetting more than a few of you, even then we find it impossible to differentiate between American and Canadian accents LOL)

Last year I bought a baseball cap to wear in while we were there, so I would NOT look out of place.

Just back yesterday and everyone looks like a tourist! Shorts, tennis shoes, baseball caps were worn by everyone we saw, tourist and locals alike.
