Transfers - items allowed to bring on board?

Doing the 2 night add on in Honolulu before the cruise and wondered if anyone out there has done that and how all of the transfer did/didn't work. What time did the flights arrive from the East coast. Can you bring soda and snacks on board? Been on other cruises where they confiscate the soda until the last day.

You can bring sodas and bottled water aboard. Wine is subject to a corkage fee, other spirits and beer will be confiscated and returned on the last night.

Strongly suggest you read through a months worth of postings here. You will find lots of great answers, including the fact that bringing on soda is no problem, or snacks.
