Carnival Profit More than Doubles (Biz News)

It just goes to show just how inflated cruise prices are! compared to the cost of running an actual cruise.

It is also interesting that these profits are after deposits, payments & interest of new and old ship builds over the past 4 years.

Even with SARS and Sept 11 Carnival has done very well for themselves l recon.

With all the cruiselines new capacity coming online and that which is still to come over the next couple of years one would think that prices will only become more competitve over the next few seasons.

With Four Season's Hotels branching into cruising with a new ship build l can see many of the major worldwide hotel chains perhaps looking at a similar idea's.

It all makes for an interesting cruise industry future.

Cheers Colin...................

Hi Crouton:

L Knick and I happen to own Carnival stock - one of my better picks (I think L Knick may be a serious investor/speculator - I just dabble).

This is a well run corporation with a great balance sheet.
