Another Formal Night ?

My fiance and I will be on the Explorer next month for our Honeymoon. We want to definitely do formal night. Finding something for me is super easy but I'm not sure if we need to get him something else. He has several nice slacks, nice shirts, and nice ties. He has a nice sports coat that will match all of the pants that he has. It a sports coat sufficient (its kinda like a tweed where there are several colors in it) or do we need to get him a plain suit?

 

What to the majority of men where?

I wear a tuxedo, most men wear a suit or tuxedo, some wear a sports coat, but I would probably recommend a navy blazer over a tweed sport coat.

From what I've seen, most men wear a suit or tux to formal night dinners. I have seen men in sports coats and blazers as well, just not the majority. I like jc's suggestion of the navy blazer too.

At the fear of being flamed...the others are correct. What you are describing is more in tune with "Smart Casual" night.
