Changing cabins

Just booked a Carnival cruise for for 3 families - 8 people. TA suggested we put a previous passenger in every room so we can get past passenger rate - we did that, but we will have to switch - how and when do we do it? S&S card is the key to the room, so we will need to tell them we want to switch when we arrive, right? Do you think we'll have problems doing that?

Won't be a problem. When you board, go to the Purser's Desk and just ask for extra room keys for each of the rooms (you don't even have to bother telling them you are switching rooms). They will give you an extra card that will look like a Sail and Sign card, but it will only serve as a room key. They will punch a hole in it so you will know which is which.
