vjmatty Posted May 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2007 Are Mosquitos a problem in Santorini, Corfu, Olympia and Ephesus? Thanks for your help! Depends on the time of year.... I used to spend summers in Chios which is an island near Turkey and there were a TON of mosquitos. However, in September and October they weren't so bad. February and March had none ;)
CateW Posted May 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2007 Are Mosquitos a problem in Santorini, Corfu, Olympia and Ephesus? Thanks for your help! We were on a cruise last summer that did all of these ports/no mosquitos or any bugs at all.
vjmatty Posted May 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2007 I am sorry, I should have clarified that the mosquitos in Greece are only bad at night, so port visits should be ok ;)

jesse Posted May 7, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 7, 2007 We were at four islands in Greece, never saw a mosquito, and in Santorini we were there until 10pm, no mosquitos whatsoever and we were sitting both outside up top and outside down below right at the water(waiting for the brave ones who took the donkeys down) and there were absolutely no mosquitos. i'm paranoid about getting bitten so not a problem. what we did notice -and this was in august-there were plenty of bees at Mt Olympus where the foliage was.
