kathy_bc Posted May 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2007 We are doing a b-2-b cruise, and will be in Seward for a few hours. Is there anything to do there?? thanks, kathy
cjnky Posted May 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2007 Definitely more to do there than you can do in a couple hours!! I think if I were just there for that length of time, I'd visit the Sealife Center - but there are lots of other options. Nancyquilts Posted May 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2007 If you had time for at least a 6 hour Kenai Fjord boat trip, I'd take that. Don't take a shorter one - you want to get into the Park area. Nancy
Budget Queen Posted May 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2007 You will probably have at least 12 hours won't you??? Plenty to see and do in Seward. My top pick is a Kenai Fjords boat tour, just WAY superior to anything from your cruiseship. Loaded with varied wildlife, and close up glacier look. :) Exit Glacier has some nice hiking, Seavey's Dog sled rides, Alaska Sealife Center, etc. http://www.seward.com
SEPyle Posted May 7, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2007 For sure...GET OFF THE SHIP! We had a great time in Seward and have done all the things Budget Queen mentioned, with the Kenai Fjords boat tour the very best option! You will love this incredible area! By the way if you decide to go to Exit Glacier, Seavy's Dog Cart rides are closeby. We really enjoyed the cart ride!
