Hi Jim and Patty. Dave and Nancy (matching tee shirts) from the Radiance PC. Now that Tax Season is almost over maybe I can edit and upload some of the 1000 + pics we took of the canal trip in Oct.

 

The SA trip sounds good but too rich for my pocketbook, unless JetBlue brings $200 airfare to SA.

They sure are, and the pricing for a JS is much higher than what we originally paid for our GS on Splendour.........same itinerary.

Dave and Nancy........good to hear from you.......would always love to see your pictures...........there are about 3 of us that have tried to keep the roll call going........suggest you post them there when you have them ready.

If you see this I am just floored at the RC pricing.............now before anyone jumps on me......nobody is more loyal to RC than I am........but for the life of me I do not understand what they are doing with their pricing this year. Jr suites running at 315 per day and up:eek: .........and that doesn't include airfare to get anywhere........I really am almost to the point that I can't afford RC anymore unless I choose to downgrade my cabin selection...........which would be hard to do...........we may have to look elsewhere after the 4 we have booked..........I'm pretty good at finding deals............but................there is no doubt they have raised prices 10 to 30% on the average..........guess their market research shows they can do it.............and when you send 7 ships to Europe you certainly CREATE a shortage to begin with...........

I knew you'd be surprised.........as I was. I'm glad that we booked the Splendour last year..........as it has also increased in price. I have a feeling that they are going to try and cater to the SA pax industry, just like Rhapsody is doing going over to the Far East. Only time will tell on how successful it will be. Remember, they tried Legend over in the Australian/NZ market with a cruise to Asia from Sydney and it only last about 4 years. In fact, on our last cruise on Legend in Australia, they were offering really low fares to pax to just stay on the ship over to Asia so that it would be full.

 

I wonder if this is not going to be a permanent deployment like Alaska or Hawaii...........the prices are just to incredibly high for the average American to afford it.......and they keep getting higher.
