Is it like the airport where you go through a metal detector and get everything xrayed? I haven't seen any posts on this and I was just curious.

Yes. You will go through a metal detector, and any carry-ons you have will have to be x-rayed as well.

Put it in your checked luggage.....not carry on.

I read somewhere on these posts that they xray your checked luggage as well. That is why I decided not to smuggle. I ordered the bar set up instead. Good luck:) ;)

Maybe that's why people are talking about bringing liquor in shampoo or mouthwash bottles?

Yes, I remember this on my first cruise....they will have metal detectors, and you will have to place your purse or "carry on's" on a conveyor belt. They run things pretty smoothly and you are in and out pretty fast.

Glass is very visible through X-ray. Also, they look for the shape of items packed inside the suitcase.
