Catalina Island

where is it? the only one I can find on google is california and Im sure Ventura doesnt go there :eek: I know its a private island but has anyone got anymore info?

Catalina island is of La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Not a lot there other than a great beach, water sports and the BBQ arranged by your cruise line. The tender takes about 12 minutes from the ship

catalina island is a great day out - doing nothing. private island off dominican republic. cruise staff disembark really early to prepare beach area and catering. good chill out day, great beach, bbq food and a good floor show presented by 'locals'.

I thought Catalina Island was off San Pedro (LA HARBOUR) I was going to take a ferry ride out there precruise.

Not a lot to say about it but the beach is lovely and you can take wonderful photo.s of the ship also there are a few small gift shops, (and theres the Pando food !)

That is Santa Catalina Island, although most do call it Catalina.

 

Interesting little place - but very touristy.
