gloriashelton Posted May 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Can anyone tell me which floors/wing to request at the Sheraton for the most quietest room? I've read about paper thin walls and street noises. Thanks for your help. gloria
Molokai-Chuck Posted May 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Well....first off the Sheraton Moana Surfrider will no longer be a Sheraton as of 1 June this year. As to where to stay there....I have always liked the Historic section of the Moana....however starting 1 June it (Moana Historic section) will be closed for about 5 to 6 months. The Diamond Head wing is a really not so good part of the property....very small lanais...noisy as you stated. I think it is slated to be torn down in the next 6 or so months. Also the Banyan Veranda is now closed...and not to re-open till about August. That leaves the Surfrider Towers....they are nice....get an Ocean View...not a Partial Ocean view.....also ask for the Diamond Head/pool side of the Tower. The POV and city rooms in the tower can be noisey ..... Join the Starwood club....and get 35% off your booked room also. Also....the entire property is now non-smoking....no smoking rooms at all. Not even on your lanai.... Hope this helps. Chuck
