sleepy99 Posted May 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2007 I will be travelling with a group of 14 on AOS 8/12/07. I called C&A and they advised me that the largest tables on that ship seat 12 only. Does anyone know if that is an absolute, or is there a way to seat 14 at 1 table? If so, how would I request such arrangements. Thanks.
gerif Posted May 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Your best bet is to get a 6 and an 8 right next to each other, preferably with the same servers. This way, you could change around each night if you like. I think anything larger than 12 would be really unwieldy and service would suffer as a result. cb at sea Posted May 15, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 15, 2007 As long as your booking numbers are linked, they will seat you as together as they can. 2 tables is what you should expect. But, it wouldn't hurt to ask the Maitre'd when you board!
sethinohio Posted May 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Just off the AOS and I can state I did not see any tables larger then 12 in the dining room.
TMarie Posted May 15, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Honestly, you dont want to sit all together anyway, even if you think you do. Trust me. Do you know how noisy that would be? If you had two tables side by side it makes it easier to conversate. And you could always switch seats at dessert time. Thats what my family did. Our first family cruise has nearly 40 people! We were seperated into four tables. It worked out well because everyone 21 and under had their own seperate table too. Good luck!
