Hotel near the Port in Jacksonville

Hi Everyone,

 

We're booked on the Celebration in December for the Christmas Week cruise.

 

Does anyone know of a decent hotel near the port for the night before? We don't need one that has a shuttle since the parents are meeting us there, then driving to the port.

 

Just needs to be clean, comfortable and relatively inexpensive.

We've stayed at the Econolodge near the airport once. Once.

 

Then decided we wanted to go somewhere better.

The Holiday Inn JAX Airport is nice - has a restaurant and a bar. Free shuttle service from airport.

 

We will definitely stay there the next time we need a hotel.

The Best one is the Holiday Inn Express right down the street from the port. Its the only hotel that close to the ship. I stay there when I book the Celebration.

WE just got back and my family stayed at the Wingate on Airport Rd. it was nice and clean.

We just took a shuttle through there about 14 hours ago, and yes there are about 8 or 10 hotels just outside the airport. I tried to remember which ones are there, but its been a long day and can't quite remember them all. I do recall a Holiday Inn Express, a Comfort Inn, Wyngate. I know there are quite a few, more than I expected, between the airport and 95.
