Visas for Istanbul ???

Do we really need visas for Istanbul and Ephesis or does the ship get "Blanket" visas?:confused:

You only need a visa if you will be flying into or out of Turkey. If you are just in transit on a ship, you don't need a visa.

Information is correct. As long as you are just stopping there for a visit via the ship, no visa required.

 

When we went to Istanbul for a few days pre cruise a few years ago, we did have to get visas.

So if we're staying post-cruise in Istanbul for 3-4 days, we need a Visa in addition to what we'll receive from the cruise line?

That is as I expected...Two years ago on the Regent Voyager we stopped in Ephesis/Kusidasi and there was no mention of a visa. thanks again...Rob

cp556, yes, you will need an individual visa if you're leaving the ship, staying a few days, and then flying home from Istanbul. When you disembark the ship, you are no longer considered an "in transit" guest.
