shuttle service

We did the Carnival transfers. We did find out later that Super Shuttle was a little less expensive.

Timewise, we wished that we would've taken Super Shuttle.....with the transfers, we got on the bus and sat and waited. They wouldn't leave until literally every seat was filled! Returning back to FLL was the same.

I guess there was no real rush to GO other than wanting to hurry up and start our vacation......but it's still no fun sitting on the bus for 45 minutes with nothing to do!

The Tri-County Airport Express shared ride shuttle from FLL to Port of Miami is $18 per person. Reservations are not required. When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of the starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.

They also offer a private town car service for up to 4 people. From FLL to Port of Miami they charge $64 for the car ride (not per person), still a better value then a cab ride. Reservations are not required. ;)

If you have up to eleven in your party they offer a private van for $125 from FLL to the Port of Miami.

Anyone had experience with Princess transfers and how they work if picking you up at the hotel you did your precruise stay at? Interested in time they pick us up, what type vehicle picks us up, and will they take care of my luggage, or am I responsible for finding the luggage guys at the port where they drop us. Thanks

We have done the Princess transfers and they pick you up around 1 pm depending on your hotel. Once you board their bus, you do not see your luggage again until it comes to your room.

Recently we contacted Edwin from Sun & Moon Express - he is very reliable and has transporation to and from Miami - You will have to contact him for those rates. His rates for the airport to and from hotels and the port are cheaper than the transfers and if you make a reservation he is there waiting for you. In the future we will contact him anytime we go to Ft. Lauderdale.
