Extended Stay on 17th St., anyone?

We have booked several people at the the Extended Stay on 17 St for next Feb. prior to our Emerald Cruise. We were just wondering if anyone here could give us a review on this hotel. I know it is a basic hotel without all the frills but we are just looking for an affordable, clean, hotel in the 17th Street area so that we are close to the port and airport, as well as the water bus and trolly.

Any information would be appreciated :)

It's a decent hotel located next to the Holiday Inn Express on SE 17th Street. It's really popular among business people attending conventions next door in the convention center. Usually they require a minimum stay but if you can get it for a night, go for it.

We stayed there on the 29th April and it was just fine. It was clean and had all the facilities to cook with if you wanted. It is simple, you bring your luggage to and from the room, so be prepared for that. There are lots of restaurants and stores nearby, maybe a little walk, gets you prepared for your cruise. We will stay there again in the future. Thanks to Bequia for his advice.

Thanks for your responses! We were just sort of worried when the desk clerk mentioned that we could get changed to a different location if they had guests staying longer that were there before us since it is an extended stay facility. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? We called the main line and was told this was not their policy and the rates we got were for the weekend, therefore we should be fine. Part of the reason we are staying here is the location in close proximity to the port and airport so being moved would be very annoying. Just hope that dosen't happen to any of our group since we have meeting plans pre-cruise.
