Hi we sail Sunday, 3rd.

Just interested in the past

few sailings.

Thanks!

Maria

We are on the CB right now and we'll disembark the day you get on in FLL. We were also on last week for the Eastern Caribbean itinerary which I think you'll be doing. This is our 12th time on Princess, first on the CB. There are a lot of people and it takes a couple of days for them (us) all to settle down and get used to the crowds. Food very good except for Horizon court, entertainment excellent, service is also excellent. Internet is very slow, tricjk is to open multiple windows so that you can look at something else whilst waiting for the other window to load.

Capt Romano is at the helm - he alternates with Capt Kent. We have experienced botyh and found Capt Romano to be more visible and less aloof of the two.

You'll have a great trip next week, very relaxing itinerary. Cruise Director is David Cole, very good indeed- one day he will burn out as he involves himself with activiites all over the ship instead of delegating to his staff - he has a lot of energy!

We just got off the Caribbean Princess with Alex that is still on. Here is my impression.

Caribbean PrincessKeep in mind, this was written by someone that has cruised 14 times on NCL. Carnival, Holland America, Royal Caribbean & Princess For what it is worth. Different people like different things. We love the sun, the beach and hit the casinos. 5 STAR RATING Overall5For a first timer, Princess is a great cruise line and this is a great ship. You chose well.Itinerary5Just the way we like it. Three days at sea and three islands. Love those relaxed sailing days. Boarding3Terrible. Get there early. They need to learn something from Royal Caribbean. Security area is the problem.VIP Boarding0Nonexistent! Royal Caribbean has this down. Princess, take a lesson. Balcony Cabin5Caribe Deck has the biggest balconies ever. Two to three times larger than most. Rooms are larger as well. Cabin Attendant5Excellent! Never missed a thing and was always there when needed. Went above and beyond. Towel Animals in room 0None, but always on the Royal Caribbean & Carnival Captain5Capt Romano Exellent! Very personal. Chef6Who ever the pastry Chef is on this ship, he needs a raise! Magnifico!Maitre'd2Waited hours with others while one person (The Maitre'd) found us a table because we were wait listed. He needs help.Dining4We like the Set Dinning time, but will try anytime dining next time. Dinner Food 4Very Good, about the same as Royal Caribbean, better than Carnival. Dinner Food Service5Excellent!Upscale Dining5The Steak Restaurant was worth the extra money. Horizon Buffet3The food was OK, but the line was a ZOO!!!! Needs some organization!Dinner Entertainment0None except the last night. Every night on Royal Caribbean or CarnivalTheater Entertainment4Three different comedians, all great. Missed the big products like on Royal Caribbean Theater3Small. Get there early if you want a seat. Entertainment5Excellent. Many options.Bars5Great assortment. Love the sports - cigar bar. Bar Service4Varied, to many bars. The Crooners Bartenders were excellent. One hell of a Martini Maker at Crooners.Casino5Nice! No problem getting on a table. One of the biggest we ever seen on a ship.Décor5Excellent! Very Classy. Unlike Carnival that is like a carnival, neon and glitz overload.Pools6Excellent! Four to include an ADULT only pool. Kudos!!!Pool Band1Not good! Missed the Caribbean sailing music. What happened????Pool activities3A few, but not enough to keep you entertained while at the pool Outdoor Movies4Something new. The Big Screen is excellent, but all the movies are old. Cruise Director5Excellent, but seen better. Front Desk - Pursers2Not very helpful. Send you to other places to handle problems, like the customer service desk. Customer Service Desk does NOT have convenient hours. St. Thomas - Excursions4Great selection. If you are into Catamarans and snorkeling, take the Turtle Cove Catamaran that picks you up at the ship. Don’t take the Champagne Catamaran with the 45 minute bus ride both ways, to only snorkel for an hour. St. Martin - Excursions5If you like the beach, you can not beat Orient Beach any where in the world.Princess Cay5Very Nice!!! Get a Cabana, they are worth it. Departing5Princess is great at getting you off the ship. Favorite Cruise Line Princess and Royal Caribbean. Don’t care for NCL, but hear Celebrity is great. We will try them next.

Thanks for the reviews. We sailed CB on her inaugural season, June 2004. We loved the ship, food, sea days, captain, adult pool and spa. Glad to hear that much of that remains promising.

I have sailed Celebrity twice and they set the bar on that 1st cruise, 2nd cruise was to Southern Caribbean on the Millenium.

Celebrity is more posh and regal (albeit smaller) but the 9-day Southern cruise

was a bit too long, noticed and heard lots of restless kids.
