Miracle in Nassau and Freeport, where does it dock?

I was curious what was within walking distance from the ship in Nassau and Freeport. Where does the ship dock or disembark passengers? Do they dock or use tenders?

What shopping and touring are nearby? We will have extra time before and after excursions and just wanted to walk around.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,

The dock in Nassau is adjacent to the downtown area. There will be many ship passengers doing the same, because there will probably be other ships in port at the same time. It's pretty much shopping downtown. There are a few bar/restaurants (Senor Frogs, Hard Rock Cafe).

The beaches are a short cab ride from the pier. The taxis are fine. The rates are regulated by the goverment (Atlantis is $4 pp) and there is usually some official watching over the activity at the pier.
