Sailing on Star Princess in Sept. 2008 any tips?

Looking at sailing on the Star Princess in September 2008. This will be our first cruise. Any suggestions? Cabin choices? Thinking of a mini suite or balcony. What deck/s would you suggest?

When are you going? Past the first week has the worse potential weather of the entire season. Yes you are going to get those "we had perfect weather" reports, but overall a long history, this is atypical, including 2 last Alaska cruise sailing trips I took.

 

 

So be well prepared in your attire, with layers. Plan tours carefully- dusk is 7pm, mid Sept.

 

You do have a chance of Northern Lights. :)
