Recommended Posts

I am wondering how accessible some of the ports/sites/museums & palaces are for people who are able to walk fine, but have a bit of difficulty with stairs and standing in line due to knee or hip pain?

Ports & Specific Sites I am wondering about:

Stockholm - Vasa Museum & Gamla Stan

St. Petersburg - Hermitage, Peterhof, Catherine's Palace

Oslo - Ski Jump, Vigeland & Viking Museum

Helsinki - city & Rock Church

Gdansk - Malbork Castle & city of Gdansk

Tallinn - Old Town

Thanks,

dog

Hermitage ...alot of walking some stairs.

Oslo - Ski Jump, Vigeland & Viking Museum

ski jump to go to top - stairs

vigeland- flat but alo of walking

viking ship- no problem whatsoever

Helsinki - city & Rock Church

no problem

Gdansk - Malbork Castle & city of Gdansk

Tallinn - Old Town

cobblestones BIG TIME in gdansk and tallin

though there are flat areas in gdansk down long street and by the crane.

I have stage 4 endometriosis pain 24/7...my doctor believes in quality of life so I just pop more pain pills during the duration of my trip...

you might want to pack a heating pad with an extension cord and bring icy hot patches..

if you can't get pain meds ...talk to your doctor about piggy backing motrin and tylenol and if that is ok with your medical history.
