runcassrun_07 Posted June 18, 2007 #27 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Rocket Rob?? He was good - entertaining to say the least - I didnt get the name of the band in Bar Blue but they were GREAT!! The 70-80 night at WHITE HEAT WAS FUN too!!:D Hey, that sounds great! So "Rocket Rob" must be the piano man's nickname. The 70-80 songs are my favorite. I'm even more excited and Thanks.:) Cassandra

luv2cruise03 Posted June 18, 2007 #29 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Hello, Just curious about which pier Glory uses. When we were in Cozumel in March on FOS we docked at a pier that was under a lot of construction, but I think there is another one that is closer to downtown shopping. Just wondering which one Glory uses. Thanks!:)
wags111 Posted June 19, 2007 Author #30 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Did you go on any shore excursions? any recommendations? we did the eastern caribbean. in the bahamas we just walked around the straw market and got back on the ship. we had been to the bahamas before. in st thomas we did a shopping/beach excursion. the beach they took us to was at a hotel and had a open air bar right there on the beach. it was nice. in st martin we took a tour of the island. they drove us to french side and then to the dutch side. on the french side we went shopping and then on a glass bottom boat. the boat was really cool. we took some cool pictures on the scuba man feeding the fish. wags111 Posted June 19, 2007 Author #32 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Thanks Wags that is what I have heard...I am not telling my DH about the swaying... maybe it will be smooth sailing for you.
wags111 Posted June 19, 2007 Author #33 Share Posted June 19, 2007 When you say you felt swaying - was it more than normal? I have only been on the Grand Princess nd we barely felt anything. I am pregnant - a surprise found out after we booked our trip - and am getting very nervous about feeling sick. My morning sickness has not been fun, but as I approach 16 weeks it is winding down. We leave this weekend. congrats! what a wonderful surprise. if i were you i would talk to your doctor and ask what is safe for you to take if you needed it. better to be safe than sorry. i get seasick and had the patch and still felt a little queezy.....the last 2 days you could feel the movement. most of the time from side to side but we also felt it sway from front to back. i am not trying to make you nervous. have a great trip. rhcruzer Posted June 23, 2007 #41 Share Posted June 23, 2007 Today was Wee Jimmys last day. Cruise was great! Weather perfect! Smooth sailing the whole time. Too much laundry to post review now. But I'll get there. Cave Tubing in Belize is the best! Use cave-tubing.com. Ask for Marvin & Lionel. Greatest guides. Any questions, I'll try to get them answered as soon as possible. Brenda33 Posted June 23, 2007 #44 Share Posted June 23, 2007 Is cave-tubing.com the one where it is not very rough and very safe for little kids?
rhcruzer Posted June 24, 2007 #45 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Is cave-tubing.com the one where it is not very rough and very safe for little kids? How little is little? Under 6 is tough because of the tubes. Cave-tubing.com is great We saw a lot of kids on this. The water wasn't very deep or moving very fast at all. The guides are with you the whole entire time & won't let anything happen to anyone. Safety is their main priority (safety with a lot of fun). The hike through the rain forest is nice, some rocks, tree roots, & depending on previous weather, some mud. You will be carrying your tube, but if you do have trouble carrying it, the guides will take the tube & carry it for you, especially the olders & youngers. Brenda33 Posted June 26, 2007 #46 Share Posted June 26, 2007 My son will be 6 at the time......I'm sure Daddy can carry the tube for him too. :D
ccartman2 Posted June 26, 2007 #47 Share Posted June 26, 2007 Too bad Wee Jimmy is leaving. Is he leaving Carnival, or going to another ship? Glad you had a good trip. I loved the Glory and wouldn't mind sailing her again.

rhcruzer Posted June 26, 2007 #49 Share Posted June 26, 2007 Does the Glory have any theme nights that we should pack special outfits for? We like to paritcipate in all the functions! lol They did have a Mexican Buffet 1 night, but didn't mention any specific clothing. Also they have color nights. You are assigned your color in the dining room (red, white or blue) Just wear your assigned color shirt at the color deck party to score more points. Chef Mike Posted September 11, 2007 #50 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Hey, that sounds great! So "Rocket Rob" must be the piano man's nickname. The 70-80 songs are my favorite. I'm even more excited and Thanks.:) Cassandra My fiance and I got back from the aug 25th sailing. We hung out with Rob just about every night. Past the cruise ship pianist schtick, he's a real nice cool guy. Rob, if you see this contact me! I want you to play at our wedding! Mike and Mandy - Milwaukee.
