Dawn seems to be quite colorful!

I was looking at pictures of the Norwegian Dawn's interior and especially their cabins seem to be decorated quite ... let's say ... colorful. I would think most people would care for a more subdued look in the cabins for a restful experience.

 

Is this "colorful" scheme carried throughout the ship or is it just in the cabins where one might need sunglasses :rolleyes:

Colorful :D :D you should see the Jewel :D Trust me it does not seem at all as bold onboard. All the natural wood tone finishes offset the bright fabric for a very relaxing environment. :)

I love the bright colors. Pastels are so '80s!

I'm sure there are other ships with colors that would please your discriminating tastes, herb.

Pictures can be "colored enhanced". ;) In person the colors are not as bright as they seem in pictures.

It would seem that Herb has never experianced Navy gray for 6-12 months at a time. If so he would certainly appreciate the colorful decorations on the NCL ships.:) :)

After sailing on the equally colorful Norwegian Star, my friend and I decided NCL doesn't want restful cabins where the passengers may spend too much time relaxing. They want to drive us out of the cabins and into the bars and the casino!

 

While my first reaction was "garish", I have come to look upon the decor as festive.:)

I find the Dawn's colors cheerful and upbeat, sort of en rgizing. In fact DH missed the brightness on X and Regent. Me too come to think of it.

We've never had a problem having fun or resting on the ship. The color adds that festive vacation feel. The sea air and movement rocks you to sleep. :D

I think that onboard it is not as bad ad the picrures since you do not see the whole ship in the picture. Just a room might look garish, but in actuality it is not. We did not lose sleep in the bright room!
