What Car For Road To Hana

Anyone who has drove the road to Hana, what vehicle do you recomend

should we rent a convertible or jeep, there will be four of us

We had a convertible, but many had Jeep Wranglers and took the top off. I would definitely go with one of these and not a conventional car. The scenary is awesome and much better viewed in a convertible or Jeep.

We had a PT Cruiser, which was great. We could really enjoy all the views, all around us. Left, right and up!

 

The problem with the Jeeps is that every time you go through a rain shower, you have a big job getting the top back on. With a conventional car, you just press a button and up it goes. I remember how soaked some people parked next to us at the Garden of Eden got, trying to get all the pieces and parts back on their Wrangler!

I'd do a convertible (more expensive) but that back seat will be cramped and not so comfortable. I'd get the OK from those who will be in the back if they are adults.

I also agree with the convertible I think it would give you more room.We had a convertible and I am prone to motion sickness and I think having a convertible helped me from getting sick.

I should clarify that ours was a PT Cruiser convertible. Guess I should have mentioned that! :rolleyes: :D
