Do people 'dress-up' more in San Juan?

Recommended Posts

We're staying in San Juan two days before our AOS sailing. (Courtyard Marriott.)

I've read on Frommer's website that it is a 'dressier' city? I'm just curious what kind of clothes to pack for our short stay, since we might go to some of the casinos?

Thanks!

We were in San Juan last November and sitting at an outside cafe, I saw so many lovely women that were dressed beautifully. (Really cool shoes too!). Much more elegant than I'm used to seeing on a normal day to day basis ...Jan

We were there this past winter and I did not notice women more dressed up than any other place. Again it all depends where you are going though. It is very muggy and hot so I would suggest dressing light and airy. I like my sun dresses and they can be dressed up or down so they work really well. Skorts work well also.
