Moulin Rouge

The French river boat cruise I'm going on (GCT) has an optional tour to the Moulin Rouge in Paris, and the price is over $200. Just wondering if anybody has gone on this and is it worth the money.

I went to the Moulin Rouge back in 1998 on a land tour and definitely enjoyed the show. But is it worth over $200? If that's per person, I would say no. If it's for two people, it's probably worth it but mainly if there's nothing else in Paris that you'd prefer to do.

We also did the Moulin Rouge on a land tour. We did pay over 200 per person but that also included dinner in the Eiffel tower. It all was a fantastic experience. You might check out a private tour company.

Having just returned from Paris this month, I can say that the price of a show without dinner was around $140 per person and with dinner, over $200. You would have to add in transportation so the price is within reason. The question is whether the trip is worth it to you. We passed on a visit and while I feel culturally deprived, I'll soon get over it.

When we were in Paris, we were told that Moulin Rouge was an OK show, but not worth the money. We decided to forgo it, although I did get a picture taken in front of it.
