Glasgow Airport

Hi Folks,

 

 

You will see the pictures on the news today of a burning jeep that has crashed into the front of Glasgow airport, accident or attack , we will have to wait to hear.

 

I will be there in a few weeks to catch my flight for the Grand Princess,

 

if this is an attack then they have a lot to learn, there is nothing they can do that will change how we go about our day to day lives.

we are starting with our cruise on 07.07.2007 in Greenock and flying in by BA the morning...

 

Maybe we should better ask BA to give us an earlier flight or maybe everybody get paniced and we must fly naked...

From 1 July, new passport scanners are being introduced by the UK Government's Border and Immigration Agency which may affect the time it takes to process arriving passengers. For more information go to www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk

We flew into Heathrow last year just a week after the big plot with the liquids last year (and then through Gatwick three weeks later), and I told my family that I was glad for the heightened security. I'm wishing safe travels for everyone.

All the Airports in the UK are on extremly high alert so expect delays.

However all the airports are operating as normal & although the area is still taped off, Glasgow airport is open.

 

Thanks to the UK intelligence, police & public this terrorist attack had no effect except to keep the newpapers in pictures & stories.

 

There is a baggage handler called Jon Smeaton who has been propelled into hero status

It seems to be that everything is back to "normal"...

 

Tomorrow we are flying Frankfurt - London-Heathrow - Glasgow.

 

We have 1.25 hrs time to change the flights but no change of the Terminal so we will going relax on our mini-vacation.
