Enchantment (very) brief review 06-23-07

Recommended Posts

We have been sailing Princess the last few years but decided on this cruise because we were taking our two adult children and our almost-nine year old granddaughter. My thinking was, this would be more "family" oriented.

We are Diamond members and, wow, was that special.

Embarkation and disembarkation took, at most, 15 minutes. Way faster than Princess. They should bottle their method. A+ on this

Food-- again, better than Princess. It wasn't so much the choices as the seasonings. Princess food is so bland. DD and I had veggie burgers at the pool and even they were good. Windjammer, above average too. Try all the soups. Excellent. We had our table changed mid cruise, but had very good service overall. B+

Cabins--DH and I had a balcony cabin which had the new shower door. Loved that. Shower is still small, but no curtain clinging to your posterior! Kids had interior, nothing special. Room steward, Colbert, very good. B +

Crew-- To a person, they were polite, cheerful, helpful and pleasant. A+

Concierge Lounge--Our host was Carlos. Always welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. I don't know where the much talked about Julian was, but Carlos was great. A

Kids Club--Granddaughter went to this every day and loved it. The staff, again, was warm and friendly. A

Tours--Did private tours in Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman.

Entertainment--Sorry, didn't attend any of the shows.

Overall ship--I thought the ship was in great condition. B+

Casino--saved this for last! I won, woo-hoo.

We have a Princess cruise planned in August and I am eager to compare.

Questions, I'll try to answer.

Glad you all enjoyed yourselves on the Enchantment, what a wonderful ship...Too bad Julian was not there but he is on vacation, you will have to book again so you can see just how great Julian is...Later, Jill:cool:
