Past Guest Party

That just is not friendly. Who wants to go to something like that by themselves? When I cruised Princess with my parents and hadnt previously been on a Princess ship, I was allowed to go to their past guest party, same with Celebrity. It may be policy and I can respect them choosing to enforce a policy, but then they should enforce all policies (which from what I have read does not appear to be the case).

It's a past guest party and sorry if I sound harsh but if they're not past guests they shouldn't be allowed to attend. I've gone to plenty of activities on my cruises by myself and met numerous people. If you go I'm sure you'll be fine by yourself for 45 minutes. And if it bothers you that much than just opt not to go. JMHO

I guess I am just used to other lines where they are willing to allow you to bring your fellow cabinmates. I find that this creates a welcoming environment from the staff. I will choose to not go because I feel that family vacations are just that, family vacations. Now out of pure curiosity, is Carnival as good at enforcing other rules like underage drinking and who is allowed in the casino or nightclubs?

No not really. I saw an 8 year old with an apple martini in the club on my last cruise. @@

Is this a joke? IF the kid had a drink, I'm sure it was 'virgin'. No parent would allow that, much less a bartender. Bartenders often make virgin cocktails for kids.

LOL It was DEFINITELY a joke. I was being my normal sarcastic self, notice the eye rolling (@@). Carnival is definitely strict about letting teens in the 18+ club at night, underage drinking, and age restrictions in the casino. This has been the case on both ships.

We intentionally book 5+ day longer cruises for the past guest party...my daughter likes the video seeing how the style of ships have changed over the years. So the canapes are not "top notch" but its a show of gratitude from CCL for your repeat business..some may not think much of it, but its better than nothing! I like getting my pin too....

We are traveling with 6 in our group. 4 are past guest and 2 are not. Can they attend the past guest with us?

What is the length of your cruise? I took a 4 day cruise on the Fascination in March, they had a Captains' party and everyone was invited.

Past guest parties are only on cruises of 5 days and longer.

Yes, every passenger is invited to the Captain's cocktail party. The PG party is only for past guests.
