Suitegurl Posted July 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2007 I know there are TONS of threads regarding smoking... I am not a smoker, but will be cruising with others who are...:( I DON'T want to start another discussion... I just want to ask this question... Can anyone tell me if there is still a smoking area on the Westerdam in the Crows's Nest since the retrofit:confused: Thanks.
Vic The Parrot Posted July 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2007 I've never been on the current Westerdam, but I'm sure your friends can find a lounge that still allows smoking. If the Crows Nest no longer has a smoking section, there's an outdoor area a few steps from that room. Enjoy your trip :)

I've been trying to keep tabs on this. No smoking area in the Crows Nest, and apparently only one lounge with a small smoking area - I think it's a corner of the Ocean Bar. Also bar area of Casino, at least some evenings. Outside smoking on Lido only in the open aft portion and one open deck (Promenade?) where there are ashtrays on railing. And, so far, allowed in cabins and verandas, unless wind in blowing in direction of a nonsmoker. :) Does anyone know of any other areas?
grannynurse Posted July 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2007 The port side of the Ocean Bar is for smokers, the starboard side is smoke free. The sports bar and the casino bar allow smoking, the piano lounge does not. The Explorer's lounge outside the dining room used to have a smoking section but I don't know if it still does. I don't know if the casino alternates nights for smoking or it is all non smoking now. I don't know about the Pinnacle bar but I think it does allow smoking. Outside decks port side, and as you mentioned, the aft Lido pool bar area has a smoking section. Remember HAL has a NOTHING overboard policy.
