7777777 Posted July 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2007 Has anyone seen anything on adult only cruises in the near future? Normally, there's 1 or 2 a year offered by different cruise lines. thanks,
Rare LHT28 Posted July 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2007 Some of the more upmarket lines have very few children ...not completely adult only but close I think P & O has a couple of adult only cruises
daiB Posted July 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2007 Some of the more upmarket lines have very few children ...not completely adult only but close I think P & O has a couple of adult only cruises No P&O do not have adult only cruises they have adult only cruise ships. Arcadia and Artemis are both adult only. In the summer they sail from Southampton for cruises up to 18 days. From October to March/April Arcadia cruises from Barbados on 14 night cruises and Artemis is also cruising in the Caribbean and South America. Some of the cruises start from New Orleans. The clientele is 90% to 95% British, but we do not bite! The down side is that with the pricing policy and the poor exchange rate from dollars to pounds these cruises can seem expensive to those on the west side of the pond. A 14 night cruise in the Caribbean for a balcony cabin is in the region of $3000 to $3500 per person. A Med cruise in the summer is in the region of $3800 to $5000 for the same 14 nights but you have to get to the UK to pick up the cruise. Hope that helps :):)Happy cruising:):) Dai

cruisead Posted July 9, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2007 LHT, what the poster means is that P&O has adults only ships, not just cruises. Saying they have A O cruises means there are some itineraries that will have kids on board, but those two ships are completely A O all the time. The only problem with the P&O cruises is they don't cruise in the US. They are pretty much marketed to the Europeans.

P & O is marketed to the U.K. clients but they do sail in the Caribbean and Pacific ...we saw the Oriana in Acapulco this year
7777777 Posted July 9, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted July 9, 2007 I was talking about the Celebrity escape cruise or something simular. Celebrity is not advertising the escape cruise at this time. We were tempted with the February 27th Carnival cruise but there's a work conflict. thanks,
cruisead Posted July 9, 2007 #9 Share Posted July 9, 2007 Celebrity stopped those adults only cruises in 2004. Despite the fact that many adults say they want AO cruises, they weren't booking enough passengers.
