taralin Posted July 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2007 HI...We're looking at various rooms on the Millenium...is the view from the penthouse deck balcony blocked by the lifeboats below? ...in pictures it looks as though it could be blocked.....in other words, would we look down and see lifeboats instead of water? Thanks!
Addict Posted July 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Hi Taralin If you look directly down, yes, but it's no problem. If you are looking out to sea you hardly notice them, they don't detract from the scenery. If you are lucky enough to get a cabin that is "in between" lifeboats, you can see directly down - we stayed in 6191 and that was between lifeboats. Also, the cabins at the front (beyond the jutting out bit) don't have lifeboats below and you can see straight down and forward (around 6045, 6047 etc, but not too far forward, just the ones nearest the lifts) ! We like those.
raymac46 Posted July 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2007 We've found that the cabins on the Penthouse deck are excellent. The lifeboats below do not block your view of the seascape or scenery whatsoever and in fact they give an added bit of privacy in that there are no balconies below you. We were in 6112 on Constellation and intend to sail on Millennium in 6096 this fall.
taralin Posted July 16, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Thanks for the help...I am looking at cabin 6046...what do you think? Good? And also, I have seen some stuff on here somewhere that it may not have sliding doors..so what would they be..like french doors??? and is there any plus or drawback to it being a connecting cabin? We won't know the person next door.

taralin Posted July 16, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted July 16, 2007 Do you know if we lose cabin size due to the larger balcony??
taralin Posted July 16, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I'll answer my own question above...the cabins are not smaller. I found it out from another post..
