UpstateCruizer Posted July 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I just read a post where someone asked about bringing their own pillows and blankets. This reminded me of our last flight on Delta. We literally froze and of course they had no blankets. Everyone was asking for blankets it was that cold. On the other Delta flights they handed out blankets to the passengers because they knew how cold the flights were. Now yes, I realize having no air would be far worse but why is it so cold on Delta's flights? We never had that on any of the other airlines. When we fly in a few weeks Im wearing sneakers just in case the flights are cold I don't want frozen feet again.
henepup Posted July 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2007 I am a "hot" person, having said that I never freeze on any flight. I am always hot on the plane. The cold actually kills germs, so thats one way to look at it.
Globaliser Posted July 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2007 Now yes, I realize having no air would be far worse but why is it so cold on Delta's flights? Are you sure it's just Delta? On every airline I've flown regularly, I've frozen on some flights and baked on others. There are quite a few flights where I've frozen for the first three hours, baked for the next three and frozen again after that, or whatever. The cabin temperature is entirely within the crew's control, and if everyone is cold, it should just be a matter of asking the pilots to turn down the air conditioning.
