FireSparkles Posted July 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2007 There is like a hundred open air taxi bus's waiting to talk you to megans bay when you get off the ship. You really don't need to take a tour there.
eh2zed Posted July 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2007 FireSparkles is right. Inless you have a large group and all you want is to get to Megans Bay and back there are lots of open air taxis, vans hounding you all day long to go somewhere.:) :D :D :)
mamaofami Posted July 28, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2007 When you get off the ships, there are all these taxis to take you to Magens Bay Beach. The drivers will even ask you want time you want them to pick you up. Some taxis are airconditioned and some are open vans. Some airconditioned vans too. It's a waste of money to take a tour of Magens Bay. They give you about 30 minutes or an hour at the beach and that's it. Magens has water sports, a restaurant, bathrooms, chairs and umbrellas to rent, etc. It's quite beautiful!

Carol, What kind of water sports, and how long of a taxi ride? Do you remember the cost? Liz

Thanks!!:) I believe there's a web site you can get to called St.Thomas beaches.com if that doesn't work, try St.Thomas.com and then go to beaches. All the info should be there. The Islander Posted August 14, 2007 #10 Share Posted August 14, 2007 Liz - kayaks, paddleboats, small sail boats. No parasailing or banana boats at Magens Bay. Taxi ride from Havensight is about 15 minutes and is $8 pp, one way. --Islander
Hawaii697 Posted August 14, 2007 #11 Share Posted August 14, 2007 Please note that it costs to get into Megan's Bay. Coki and Sapphire have no cost to get on the beach. I would recommend Coki Beach.
