What is an S&S card? How big is it? Must you carry it at all times to gain access to to eat/drink/shop, etc.? Is it a photo ID? Is there any other ship issued item that you must present to eat/drink/shop, etc.? Doe the card come w/a lanyard? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Are you talking about on a Carnival cruise.

If yes, then it is the sail and sign card and it is the size of a credit card, they don't give you lanyards but I hear they might in the casino. It is also your room key and it allows you to charge your purchases to your account. You also have to take this with you when you leave the ship to go into port.

I hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for your reply. I'm actually taking my first cruise aboard NCL's Pearl, but assume that all of the lines must function similarly.

If anyone out there knows about any eccentricities re: NCL, please advise.

Thanks.
