Is there smoking at the pools?

Hi, just read the new smoking rules thread before it was closed down. Can I just ask if smoking is still allowed in your cabin and at the outdoor pool? I love no smoking, but this is my mom's first cruise and she is a smoker so I really need to know.

Smoking is permitted in your cabin and on your balcony. (and also the casino)

Thanks everyone, I was concerned about our cabin and the pool so it sounds like it will be okay for my mother! I did not think they could make the whole ship non smoking without any notice at all, but that seems to be the way things are going! Maybe my mom will start smoking less! (Or stop cruising...)

It should be easy to find the side of the ship which is the smoking area... it will be the one with the ashtrays on the table!

I did not see Main Pool areas listed as non-smoking. But it is true as others have replied, NCL in the past allows smoking on just one side of the ship on the open decks.

I think the no smoking is a good idea, some of us are very allergic to cigarette smoke, we get very ill. :D
